Kuruksetra is the place where the Mahabharata war was fought 3500 years ago. Dvaepayan is the author of the Mahabharata and the person who first wrote down the ancient Vedas. He also wrote 18 Puranas. His full name is Krsna Dvaepayana Vyasa but he is also know by the name of Veda Vyasa.
